Research Topic
The research topic that I am interested in is "Portraying robots or human clones"#5 and "Science and Technology"#1. I really don't know witch one I want to do at this time. I just want to do some research and read into both of them. I don't want to do a movie i rather do something on a book or article.

Eng 101 Assignment #1 Brainstorming
The thesis essay that I will be writing is about is Temple Grandin. I picked that one because their is much more information to support your agreeing thesis or disagreeing thesis. Their is a movie and many articles that you can use. For example the article "An Anthropologist On Mars" and the movie "Temple Grandin". I am really also interested in autism. Temple Grandin has autism and I loved her story on how she over came her struggles. She has her PHD and designed structures for slaughterhouse to make cows more comfortable on their last days. Furthermore Nicholas Carr's article was confusing. If I where to do a thesis essay using him I would not have as many information. I would have his opinion not facts. As for the Temple Grandin Stories I would have background information and lots of facts.

Hello Blogger's. Today I will be telling you a little about myself. For example what I am studying, what are my plans/goals, what I hope to learn ect. Well my name is Irma (you already knew that). I live in Brooklyn. Love to learn new things about people,animals, and my environment. Being a freshman in college is very scarey and exciting but I love it. I am studying liberal arts science and humanities at LaGuardia Community College at this time. Some goals that I have for the future is to possibly become a nurse or a physical therapist. Then transfer to a four year university. When I picked liberal arts science and humanities I wasn't sure what exactly I would be learning about. Now that I have taken my classes for a little over two weeks I began to love my classes. I feel that I am a both a science and humanities person. What makes me feel this way is in humanities I always had a love for English. Philosophy is new to me but I love it already. To really find out how people think and what their believe are makes me feel like I'm not the only one with different believes. On the other hand you have Psychology which is a science. I never really liked science. But now its highly interesting how I can study the brain without using numbers and chemicals. Philosophers , writers, and Psychologist can have deep conversations about different believes and how they view the way of life and I truly believe that. Many people today in the U.S are more scientific they don't believe or have faith in anything unless they see it. You can go into any church in your neighborhood and ask the priest,father, or whatever type of spiritual leader there is, and ask them if their where more people attending church 20 years ago or now. What i hope to learn from this cluster is how to become a stronger reader, writer, become interested in science, learn about new believes, and finally learn something new that I didn't already know yesterday.
